Committed to adding value to the lives of its customers during the holy month of Ramadhan, Zantel Tanzania has announced various special offers targeting all Muslims in the country as they commemorate the one month of fasting worldwide.
Announcing the news at the company headquarters in Msasani Dar es Salaam, Benoit Janin, Zantel’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Ramadhan is the ideal time to nurture ties with loved ones and our offer is a small gesture to our customers to connect and communicate more easily with their loved ones.”
He mentioned that Zantel will continue to provide services to millions of Tanzanians to help them achieve their ambitions and dreams through all aspects of the firm’s business, which are voice, data, network, products and services. He said they will do this by offering the country’s best voice and data products and services while ensuring a sustainable profit to re-invest. In 2016 we had a few issues and our current strategy’s key performance indicators are fixing the basics – being the best 4G network, increase penetration, being future-ready and a loved brand.
“We need to be ready for the future with new revenue streams in value added services and data, we are already seeing a lot of improvement in the network,” he noted during the briefing. “There will be various exciting products on offer in this period and that customers will be excited with the planned offers that start effectively from 24th May 2017.
Explaining further on the offer, Zantel’s Director of Marketing, Mr. Gasper Mbowa said “Ramadan offer is aimed at rewarding our prepaid subscribers who will recharge their SIM cards with any amount of airtime, bundle or voucher during Ramadan, any customer who recharges will automatically get 50 percent more airtime for all Zantel to Zantel calls, the 50% bonus is be used from 11 pm and 6 am, furthermore customers will be able to access our recently launched service ‘Zantel Madrassa’ to receive all Islamic teachings such as Quran, Hadith, Duah, BAKWATA news and other services that can be accessed via call (IVR/SMS/) and the Mobile App”.
Mbowa added that Zantel customers can call their relatives in the Middle East for less through the Arabic International Pack. “For Tshs 2,000, The Ramadhan Arabic Pack will give our customers 4 minutes to call Qatar, Oman, UAE, Lebanon, Pakistan, Yemen & Saudi Arabia and for Tshs 5,000 they will get 7 Mins to call in the same countries and this will automatically be deducted from customers’ main balance account”.
All these packages can be subscribed by dialing *149*15# for “Bonga and Mpakabasi” packs, For Zantel Madrasa one can subscribe by sending an SMS with the word SUB to 15586 or by dialing 15586.
