Mute your phone. It is better to turn your phone into silent mode if you have some serious stuff that need your attention. This will keep you for a while from phone ringings, messages or receiving notifications. You can do this from time to time so as not to miss some important calls, messages as well as notifications from your bosses or colleagues.
Keep your phone away. If you can’t survive 10 minutes from previewing your phone then it is better to stay away from it. For instance, you can plan to check on your phone after every one or two hours or even during a lunch break. If you have nothing important to do with your phone this could be the best path to follow. Most importantly, this will enable you to get enough time to go through what you’ve been missing throughout the day later on.
Inform people who you are in contact with frequently that you’ll not be available. This will help you from not receiving calls or messages during working hours. It is better to inform them in advance so they will not perceive as you are ignoring them.
