Vodacom Tanzania is hosting this year’s GSMA Mobile 360 Series Conference scheduled from 11th -13th of July in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at Julius Nyerere Conventional Centre following a successful investment in last year’s conference.
The three-day conference aims at exploring how by putting mobile connectivity at the forefront of national digital strategies African leaders can leverage the power of mobile to build smart communities and make a digital Africa inclusive for all.
Speaking during the opening ceremony today, Vodacom Tanzania’s Managing Director Ian Ferrao said that by having this conference held in Tanzania proves the company commitment to continuously invest in the country.
“This conference also brings a great opportunity for us to showcase Vodacom rural outreach, social investment and highlighting M-Pesa as the most reliable mobile money platform and how it is contributing to the development of Tanzania”, said Ferrao.
According to Ferrao, the GSMA Mobile 360 series – Africa gathers leaders across Sub-Saharan Africa to evaluate digital access and inclusion, network coverage and customers’ quality of experience.
“We, as the market leader for any communications solution, from voice, data, connectivity or satellite solutions, it is a privilege for us to be the main sponsor for this conference”, added Ferrao.
Through this conference, 600 representatives from 27 African nations are meeting to discuss the mobile industry trends, including exchange of ideas, learning best practices, discuss trends and innovations, learn from keynotes and workshops, and meet potential customers and business partners.
