The Prime Minister Hon. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa will grace the opening of African Insurers Organization (AIO) Life Seminar which will be held in Arusha International Conference Center from 1-3rd of November this year. This was revealed by the Corporate Communication Officer for Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), Mr. Phoustine Oyuke.
(TIRA) in collaboration with African Insurers Organization (AIO), Association Tanzania Insurance (ATI) and Tanzania Insurance Brokers Association (TIBA) are calling for Tanzanians to show up and be active participants in the seminar and insurance sector in general.
Mr. Oyuke further said that the seminar which is annually held amongst the African member states is set to deliberate on the thorny issues within the life insurance sector with the main theme “Towards Industrialization: The role of Life Insurance in driving sustainable economic development” which tallies well with the fifth Tanzanian government initiatives of industrialization.
With respect to the theme of the event, the participants will be able to have discourses on matters on innovation, industrialization, infrastructure and insurance, banking models and dynamics for Africa as well as microinsurance landscape in Africa.
As a regulator of the insurance market in Tanzania, TIRA is calling for public capitalize on this seminar and advance their services and product based on the resolutions reached in this conference.
“It is our hope that this seminar conference will help the insurance players to reach out to more people who will notably enhance insurance penetration in our country, hence the government will confident of its people safety in case of calamities” said Mr. Oyuke.
The insuarance sector players, that is, Insurance companies, Insurance brokers, agents and the banking sector are requested to take part in this seminar for sharpening their service provision especially in insurance.
The event will host more than 200 participants from across all countries in Africa and presenters from within Africa and the globe.
