Business community in Tanzania have something to smile about following the introduction of the latest technological service that will allow them to advertise their businesses in the platform free of charge.
Introduced by Halotel Tanzania, one of the fastest growing telecommunication company in Tanzania, the platform christened “Halo Saini” will enable millions of Tanzanians, who are engaged in various business ventures to reach as many potential customers as possible, hence boost their sales.
Through this service, one will be able to draft a message describing his/her business. The message will then be set as a ring back tone or ring tone and will enable a caller or receiver to learn about the other party's business, free of charge.
''We are excited to launch this service. We are the first ones to do it here in Tanzania. We want to grow our subscribers and enable them grow their businesses at no extra cost,'' James Kulwijira, Halotel’s Operation Manager, Value added service said.
To subscribe to this service, one is required to SMS the word ON to the number 15614, then after that SMS the word SAINI followed by the message that they would like to convey in the advert.
Speaking at the same occasion, Halotel Tanzania Public Relations Manager, Stella Pius, noted that the company is grateful to its subscribers for their continued support, adding that it will continue launching products and services that are geared towards supporting and benefiting subscribers.
Ms. Pius noted that Halotel Tanzania will also offer exciting rewards to its subscribers once they load airtime, among them free airtime and smartphones.
''Once one loads airtime, they will receive an SMS containing a code. One will be required to SMS that code to 0901220004 and will automatically be entered into a, daily, weekly, or monthly draw that will enable them receive free airtime worth 50,000 or win a smartphone,'' she said.
Also, Halotel Tanzania has rolled out a service that will enable subscribers to listen to their radio on the phone, regardless of whether the area they are in has FM/AM frequencies.
And for football lovers, Halotel Tanzania will enable them receive instant football results, through a service dubbed 'Halosoka.'
